Bellmere is a residential suburb in its eastern part and rural countryside elsewhere, immediately west of Caboolture. It is bounded on the east and south by the Caboolture River, and extends about nine km west to Wamuran. Its northern boundary is the Wamuran Creek. A State primary school functioned from 1913 to 1936.

Bellmere is a dormitory suburb to Caboolture (shopping and railway station) and Morayfield (free-standing highway shopping centres). Schools, government and private, are also found in these suburbs. Bellmere has developed since the mid-1990s.
