Cooloola Cove

Cooloola Cove, a township on the south-west shoreline of Tin Can Bay inlet, is 170 km north of central Brisbane.

Originally named Cooloola Village, the township began in the late 1980s. The name came from the Cooloola coastal sands and was derived from an Aboriginal word describing the cypress pine often found in the foredunes.
