Narangba

Narangba, a large outer northern suburb on the north coast railway line, is 32 km north of central Brisbane. It is thought that the name was derived from an Aboriginal word describing the ridge on which the village was built. When the railway was opened in 1888 the situation was at first known as Sideling Creek.
