Booroobin

Booroobin is a rural/residential locality on the eastern side of the Connondale Range, 32 km west of Caloundra. It contains the headwaters of the Stanley River and Scrub Creek (a tributary of the Mary River). A few kilometres north of Booroobin there are also the headwaters of the Obi Obi Creek. It is thought that the name derived from an Aboriginal expression describing a possum or a tree.
